| The
organization will carry out following activities at the regional level: |
| |
| Drug
Abuse Monitoring Systems (DAMS): |
The
RRTC in collaboration with the NCDAP would implement the Drug Abuse
Monitoring System to ensure that the Ministry is provided with a
regular feedback on the profile of drug abuse in different regions
of the country and accordingly plan the interventions appropriate
for the region and the activities would include: |

Assistance
in distribution of questionnaires, collection & compilation
and preparation of a regional report on DAMS. In addition, information
and data from the region on the drug abuse situation/emerging trends
and pattern should be collected and compiled. |
|
|
Undertake
research studies/projects on various issues of concern in drug demand
reduction and specific regional needs. |
|
|
All
these reports should be submitted to NCDAP. |

| Under
this activity, the RRTC will be carry out following activities: |
- Assistance
to NCDAP in developing various course curriculum, syllabus and
programme schedules and other training material
- Assistance
to NCDAP in translation of training materials into regional languages
- Assistance
to NCDAP in preparation of information, education and communication
(IEC) and audio-visual materials such as handbills, pamphlets/leaflets,
posters and small booklets, Audio/Video Cassette on Drug Abuse
and related issues in regional language;
- Assistance
to NCDAP in preparation of media and publicity materials;
- Standardization
of forms, registers and record-keeping documentation.
- Assistance
to NCDAP in developing preventive education materials and Behaviour
Change Communication (BCC) material
